From the onset, I was very impressed with the landlord, the paper work I received was well organised, contained highlighted attached notes of paper to indicate where each signature was required and any updated information. I knew straight away that I was dealing with a conscientious landlord. Any emails I received were always very detailed, always explaining where paper work was posted to and when it was due by.

The property itself was very clean and tidy on my arrival, which is something I haven't experienced before - including the property I now rent. Although a ‘professional clean’ was supposed to take place I have always had to clean thoroughly before moving in, and was presently surprised to find the room in excellent condition on the day I moved in. It was very well furnished, came with a detailed and very accurate inventory, and I was able to make it my home straight away. Never before have I had such a smooth move in, which started right from the paperwork being sent and signed.

My time renting the Central Room was thoroughly enjoyable, the flat has excellent transport links and a lovely view of the Thames and the O2. Despite a small dispute among flatmates, the landlord was able to intervene in a professional and unbiased manner to help us reach a quick conclusion, which resulted in resolving the conflict quickly, and we were all very grateful for his assistance, again something I have not experienced from a landlord previously.

I will certainly be contacting the Leyton Homes in the future, should I find myself in need of accommodation.

We stayed in the balcony room for almost 2 years. The flats location is very close to the East India Station which gets you to central London on 20 minutes so it was very convenient.

The view on the Thames is amazing so we made great use of the balcony.

Raj and Sankey are conscientious and respectful landlords and were very responsive when we had any issues.

The general condition of the flat is good and we enjoyed our stay there!

The Meridian: Central Room (5.1.14-4.1.15)

I enjoyed my stay at here tremendously. The location is a swift walk from Canary Wharf, and a minutes stroll to the DLR station, providing for the easiest commute I've had in London. The flat itself is serviced by concierge and provides the sense of a secure area that is well looked after. The aesthetics are excellent, views around the property overlooking the O2, quite stunning at night. Inside the flat this is no different, with modern and sleek fittings in the bathroom, kitchen and bedrooms

By far the best thing about living here are the landlords: they were attentive, organised, and very trustworthy. Very professional approach, both with the contract, and any issues. In particular I like that they pay attention to the types of tenants they take on; doing their best to make sure all housemates are compatible and have an enjoyable stay, which I certainly did.

Thoroughly recommend living here, as the above shows there I have nothing negative to mention!

I have rented Room 3 in The Drapers Leyton for a period of 6 months. The landlords are amazingly professional and kind and the only thing that made me move out was that I rented a whole house closer to my workplace with few of my workmates.

Since the moment I met Raj for the house viewing I knew and felt the kind of person he is and I was not wrong. Everything went well from the moment I stepped in until the moment I left the house. The contract and all the paperwork are handled in a professional manner and you are kept up to date by very detailed emails about everything that is going on.

If there is a problem which arises in the house it will be handled in the shortest time. The property is maintained clean and secure and the landlord is always within reach by phone or email.

The cleaning fund was returned in full as I kept my share of the weekly cleaning rota so there were no problems. The deposit was securely kept with the DPS and returned in full after a thorough inventory check, which I found normal to be performed.

I would recommend the landlords and their properties to any of my friends and not only. They would be my first option to contact if I will be made by unforeseen circumstances to move again.

Dear Raj/Sankey,

I moved in to the Drapers at the beginning of September 2014 after being very impressed by both the room and the landlords and their professional yet friendly approach during my viewing for room 1. The room itself is very spacious and comfortably fits a double bed as well as two wardrobes and I was particularly impressed by how efficiently the contracts/payments were handled and how well explained everything was by the landlords. The landlords also use an independent body to protect tenants deposits which gives you piece of mind that you will be treated fairly and that everything is above board.

The house itself is maintained to a very high standard and all tenants are sent emails and photographs demonstrating work done that is often unprompted such as implementing a costly sky light, changing front and back door mats and replacing equipment/upgrading facilities as appropriate. The landlords are always striving to make improvements to the property that benefit tenants.

The house is also situated in an excellent location - just a minutes walk from bus stops that run a number of 24 hour services linking Leyton to Stratford, Waltham Forest, East Ham and Canning Town. The house is also just a short walk to Leyton Mills Retail Park where there is a 24 hour Asda superstore and a variety of reputable high street shops as well as being walkable to Westfields shopping centre and a few minutes walk from Leyton underground station on the Central line.

In addition to the convenient location and excellent facilities, the landlords are approachable and friendly and were always happy to assist with any queries/problems in a timely manner as well as stopping for a quick chat whenever they were around - more like family rather than landlords!

I had a fantastic year occupying room 1 and would highly recommend the room and the house to any prospective tenant.

I stayed in Room 1 in Westdown road for 6 months. The house was clean and well maintained, and the owners were quick on fixing any issue would something break or needed maintenance. All the paperwork was very professional with Raj being very patient and explaining any points I had questions with. In general it was quite a pleasant stay and I got my deposit back which is pretty much what I would expect from renting a room. Would definitely rent back if I needed to.

I rented Room 2 at the Leyton house for almost a year, from February 2014. The house share was exactly what I needed at the time: the room was clean, the landlords were very professional and accommodating, the paperwork was clear and I knew my deposit was being held in an approved scheme. Only having to make one monthly payment including bills was also definitely a bonus!

Throughout the tenancy, the landlords were easy to contact and acted quickly to resolve any issues with the house. I knew exactly where I stood with regard to the contract and charges. I lived in here for 6 months up to March 2014 and really enjoyed staying in the house. Sankey and Raj are very friendly and approachable landlords with great communication, they deal with any house issues expediently and professionally. The location of the house is perfect for the central line (1 minute to Leyton underground) and a 20 minute walk to Westfield at Stratford! The room was well lit with natural light and a great size for a double. The kitchen and bathroom could do with a little updating but are kept clean and have the necessary utilities. Leyton has a good range of bars and restaurants, don't miss the Leyton Technical for a nice meal!

‘I rented out the middle room in the Docklands apartment for six months and found my stay to be a pleasant experience. The apartment is in good condition and any issues that arise are promptly resolved. The proximity to the DLR station and the Nisa Local grocery store next to the DLR is a great bonus for the busy professional!

The landlords are extremely professional and helpful; I cannot fault them. They are meticulous when it comes to paperwork and were very accommodating when I lost my keys and when I needed to end my tenancy earlier than contracted.’

The Landlords (Sankey & Raj & Super Dad) were very kind and welcoming and made sure everything was dealt with. DPS was used to ensure my deposit was protected.

My 1st houseshare upon moving to London was The Westdown, and thanks to the friendly and helpful landlords it was an enjoyable experience.

Any issues that were reported to the landlords were always dealt with, with the upmost urgency.

Location worked well as the tube is a few mins walk and bus 30 seconds away and only one stop from stratford.

The landlords were always friendly and would thank them for helping me get settled in london and when moving out came about getting my deposit back was painless.

Throughout my 1 year experience in the house Raj was always very attentive. My questions and requests were answered in a timely manner and I was never left wondering whether the landlords actually cared about their tenants. The way that business is conducted is very open and transparent and Raj is very polite.

Both Sankey and Raj take time to go through inventories and make sure you're on the same page with each and every item so that there are no surprises in the end. Also, every house check/repair was carefully documented, and I even got picture updates by email to let me know what was going on in the house.

You'll instantly feel that you're in good hands and should you ever be in doubt Raj will happily change that. You're making a great decision by choosing these guys!

The house was an economically correct, practically feasible and a great experience for me. Attracted by its proximity to the Leyton Tube Station, Asda (should I be saying the largest Asda in East London) & all other amenities, it delivered the most appropriate solution for a young professionals like me. The house had a great vibe, yet that peace and quiet you want from your home.

Landlords, Raj and Sankey, are most professional and highly approachable - unlike the one's operating in today's market. They look after their tenants, any issues or complaints very fast. Moreover, they carefully pick housemates to allow their tenants to gel and mix well. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone.

I'd just like to emphasise that what stood out about having you as a landlord was how flexible, easy-going, reliable and accommodating you were; whenever there was a problem you were always hot on the case and it really makes the difference. (my current landlord recently took a month to fix the boiler over the Christmas break; I know that you'd have gotten it done within 24 hours!).

You were also friendly and approachable and I felt that if there was any sort of problem we could go to you with it without bothering you too much or putting you out.
